Whitney Houston, one of the greatest voices of all time, gone too soon. As reported on CNN by Don Lemon, Whitney Houston has died. Ms. Houston was reported dead at 3:55pm on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the age of 48 in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. As of right now, Saturday Feb, 11,2012, about 10pm the cause of death is still unknown.
Ms. Houston’s voice was so amazing and dominant in the music business during the 80’s. A few of her well-known songs are “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love you,” as well as her rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner”. These are just a few of the songs which she sang that will forever be remembered. She was also known for her role in “The Preachers Wife,” “The Body Guard,” “Waiting to Exhale,” and lastly the fairy god-mother of Brandy in the remake of “Cinderella.” It was evident that her talent not only lied in singing but she was a very talented actress.
Although she had fallen upon hard times, I find it refreshing that many people in the world are not dwelling on those times yet we are remembering her for what she wanted to be known for, her raw talent. Ms. Houston will never be forgotten or replaced. She was and always will be one of a kind.
R.I.P. Ms. Whitney Houston.
