STN MTN: KAUAI COMING SOON.

Welp, there you  have it! Childish Gambino finally decided drop the first part of his Mixtape/EP project, STN MTN/KAUAI.

And much like STN MTN, there has yet to be a date announced for the release of KAUAI, but what we do know is that it will be sold on iTunes.

ps. I just want to go on record and say that about 5 days ago I predicted the first half of the project will drop on a random Thursday… and would you look at that!! So now, I want to predict that KAUAI will drop on a Saturday – which I may be wrong ’cause I just don’t have that kind of luck lol. But you can download the mixtape below and then come back here and tell me if you’re feelin’ it.

SZA: Julia/Tender

The ever so talented and gorgeous SZA just released the official video (via youtube/twitter) for her song Julia and threw in a nice little treat at the end titled Tender.  If you have never heard of her or listened to her music, I suggest you do so. She’s released several projects and all live up to the TDE stamp of lyrical content. In the meantime, watch her newest video and let me know what you think!

My Decision Has Been Made.

Depending on the artist, it tends take me a while to decide if I really enjoy their style and am willing to invest money in their music.

The artist currently in the center of my debate is Sam Smith. He has a very unique voice and, from what I’ve heard so far, pretty great songs but I continuously wonder if I can see myself driving around to his album, for I listen to most of my music while driving around town. Needless to say, after this Whitney Houston “How Will I Know” cover, I’ve made my decision…

Jay Macabee: Greatness

Jay Macabee is at it again!

If you loved his single, Got The Love, you will definitely want to listen to his newest song. Full of hope and inspiration, Macabee has released his song, Greatness (freestyle). Let’s support this talented artist by checking out his music. I promise, you won’t regret it.

And, if you have yet to listen to his single Got The Love, drop everything you are currently doing and listen!

These Days

After much anticipation, Top Dawg Entertainment left Ab-Soul’s album release date up to his fans.

The dates that were to be voted on via Twitter were June 3, 10, 17 or 24. I actually forgot to vote for a release date but when discussing the possible dates with a peer, I expressed that June 24 would be best…I guess that’s just as good as tweeting, right?

Anyway, the fans have spoken and his new album, These Days, will be available on June 24, 2014. But, while we wait just a few more weeks to purchase our copies, Ab-Soul released a short video for his single, Stigmata. This is a video that is bound to be controversial but an album that will most definitely be filled with metaphors, quotes and passages that only RapGenius can help us unveil. Check out the video below and PLEASE tell me what you think. I would love to hear how ya’ll feel about this particular video and the upcoming album.
